WHAT'S HAPPENING: LATEST ACTIVITY UPDATES

"No way to delay that trouble comin' every day", as Frank Zappa once taught us. Apparently, while I was away on my two-week vacation, there has been a major site crash at UPnShare or something, and about 95% of my videos went offline. The streaming service, which has generally been efficient, is holding a 100% hush-hush policy on the catastrophe, and as of now it looks like all the uploads are gone forever. The actual servers are back up again, so I can gradually re-upload everything, but I'm not exactly sure I want to do that, because where's the guarantee it won't happen again?
As of this moment, ironically, it looks like the only more or less safe option is to continue re-uploading in "unlisted" mode on XVideos. Anyway, sorry for the problems which are obviously beyond my control.

New troubles: I have had to temporarily stop any updates at XFreeHD.com, my most trusted source for the past few years, due to an infestation of (AVN-hating?) assholes spamming tons of dislikes for no apparent reason whatsoever other than pure hooliganry. Of course, I could ignore this but I do believe that, having spent a ton of time and effort on these videos for no financial rewards whatsoever, I am at least entitled to a little gratitude rather than asshole behavior which, unfortunately, cannot be curbed or prevented in any way.
The updates still continue at Rule34video.com (where the assholes are also present but not as persistent), and, of course, at UPnshare and XVideos. My playthrough of Summertime Saga is advancing nicely and I hope to complete the game by the end of summer, early fall at the latest.

1. Some of you might have noticed that a large part of the video links to UPnShare have been deactivated recently. This is because, unfortunately, UPnShare deletes any uploads that have around 90 days of total inactivity, and since I don't get a lot of visitors, the results are sadly predictable.
I have, however, re-uploaded all the deleted videos, and as of now, they should be all working. This is because of all the locations I use to store my data online, UPnShare offers the highest video quality (1080p without any serious downgrading of the original bitrates), no porntube watermarks, and the option for users to download the video for offline use in the same quality. The only downsides are ads (avoidable with various ad blockers) and the abovementioned short-term service - which I will try to circumvent to the best of my ability, but it's hard for me to be clicking on hundreds of my own videos all the time, so help out if you can!
2. For various reasons, I have taken the decision to switch to a schedule that prioritizes just one game at a time, rather than switching between multiple titles; this makes it easier both for myself and my viewers, so as not to have to remember where the plots have left off. I've arranged all the unfinished titles in rough chronological order and will try to go over them one by one. Current schedule includes real "oldie" games that started out around 2016: beginning with Summertime Saga, then continuing with the two remaining chapters of Dating My Daughter and then following it up with some fantasy titles (Akabur's Witch Trainer and Venus Noire's Seeds Of Chaos included).
3. The current main title is DarkCookie's Summertime Saga, for which I'd recorded about 50 episodes in my early XVideos days. Then, after the original XVideos account was deleted, I kept putting off re-uploading the episodes to XFreeHD and other sites because I kept waiting for DarkCookie's "tech update" to bring the game into a new age. As of now, however, it seems that the "tech update" will never be properly completed, and since the original game does wrap up the main quest line and several side quests as well, it makes sense to make a wholesome recording out of it (if the "tech update" ever arrives, it can be treated as a "remake"). Instead of just reuploading the older recordings, though, I'm re-recording the episodes with extra music, sound effects, and interface/color enhancements for the perfect viewing experience. Hope you enjoy the results.
4. My current procedure of uploading is as follows:
(a) I prioritize the Patreongamer blog, where the new episodes are published first - in high quality, uploaded to UPnShare, and in lower quality, uploaded to my private account at XVideos (unfortunately, I cannot make it "public" so the videos could be easily located, without links, at XVideos - if I do, they'll be blocked and deleted for bogus "copyright claims" in a jiffy). This way, I hope to get you guys accustomed to UPnShare, but if you have problems with that streaming service, XVideos versions (in much worse quality, since XVideos mercilessly downgrades the results) are also accessible directly from the blog. All of these updates will also be announced on my Twitter page, so subscribe to the Twitter account!
(b) Once a couple of new episodes has been published, the older couple will be uploaded to my old private channel at XFreeHD (which still seems to be the most reliable storage location) - and I will also try to revive my account at Rule34, where I usually receive the largest amount of views, though Rule34 does have the disadvantage of randomly deleting its members' accounts without warning or explanation.
In between UPnShare, XVideos, XFreeHD, and Rule34, I hope to achieve SOME sort of guarantee that at least SOME of the videos will be available to you guys even if, for some reason, I lose the opportunity to record any more or re-upload on a consistent basis. These videos DO take quite a bit of work, and I hate to see the effort wasted.
