In this chapter, Jack takes a short detour to the 1999 countryside, taking some pictures with his new phone to show to Darci when he gets back - which is where he is intercepted once again by the sweet redhead Scarlett.

As usual, the two quickly hit it off, as Jack accompanies Scarlett to the nearby lake to pick up some lost earrings, sit on the dock, and clean up some trash for the lake... which allows him to observe Scarlett in all her primordial glory, though at this moment, he remains too scared of changing the future to try and go any further. More surprises await him at the local diner, where he bumps into Skylar's future mother Luna, who is clearly a strange one already back then... and realizes, to his utmost shock, that he might not be the only guest from the future in this 1999 environment!
