In the first chapter of the Cheating Path, we are introduced to the protagonist, Ashley, her boyfriend Eric, and their friends Eva and Dave as they go around their daily business. Later on, we meet Jessica, the campus slut, trying to piggyback off of Ashley's efforts; and Jack, the local alpha-male and a friend of Jessica's.
Ashley and Eva accept Jack's invitation to visit his expensive gym, where they are met with Jack's politely sleazy advances; Ashley manages to shrug them off for the moment, but Eva's defenses seem relatively more breachable...
